There is a problem of involving of young people with diabetes in volunteer's movement.
It is caused by a social and economic situation in EEC region and low social activity of youth in general.
To analyze the situation with the young man with diabetes, with new type of thinking, with eyes open for the future. Conversation will focus on vision of future IDF as a whole and on various directions. It will be concentrate on aspects that unites youth, instead of separates.
To start preparation of the leaders for future IDF.
The purpose:
Due to carrying out of entertainment actions (the Sports Games, festivals, debates) and educational programs on law's aspects of life of people with a diabetes
- - To involve youth with a diabetes in diabetic movement
- - To raise their social activity
- - To form and develop skills of "leadership"
And thus activization of a vital position of young people with diabetes, as a whole will achieved
Festival
Congresses IDF are difficult for distinguishing from other scientific congresses (for example, EASD, ADA )
Low level of attraction of youth (financing and disinterest) exceptions: the team of the Croatian Diabetic association in Paris, «Children with diabetes» in the Internet and the youth organization from the USA, which help to children with a diabetes in South America
To involve youth with a diabetes in diabetes movement, on the one hand and, to give to congresses IDF new sounding, with another, we suggest to lead in
We suggest 2006 to carry out within the framework of the Congress « Youth festival »
It is possible to include in the program:
- Debate about life with diabetes
- Art holidays
- Folklore shows
- Games
The congress, besides serious scientific work, can become a holiday of solidarity for youth with diabetes, representing the national organizations of all over the world.
Having started at a level of national associations in 2005, it is possible to reveal winners and to invite winners of national festivals to participation in the Congress.
