The mission of the international diabetic federation IDF is to work with our member - associations to enhance the lives of people with diabetes.
In June of the last year in Saint Petersburg participants 1st meeting, which was organized under umbrella and with participation of all European region IDF's board, initiated process of consideration of the Model law «About basic medical and social protection of the citizens sick of diabetes» in Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the CIS countries.
The project of the model law contains the indication on concrete actions, privileges and services, carrying out and which granting is capable to provide maintenance of minimally necessary standard of living of the citizens sick of diabetes.
«The important, qualitatively new step in development of our movement was made. We are officially recognized force which influences a policy oà our countries in the field of the diabetic care. Gather, we have taken the first step, to have developed the project of the Model law, we shall achieve its acceptance and realization in the countries. Henceforth we bear the responsibility for formation and development of this policy in all region,»- last year after have successfully finished our work we said "goodbye" to each other with such thoughts. We have firmly decided, that after one year we shall gather again to sum up that is made, together to solve the general problems, to share experience and to communicate to adherents who understand you from a half-word.

chairs of the East Europe Diabetic Associations will gather for 2nd the Meeting.
Present 2nd the meeting of the East Europe Diabetic Associations entitles to name meetings "traditional".

«Unity for the blessing» - such motto we have selected for ourselves. Association of energy, experience and brain potential of diabetes movement leaders of the CIS countries bears positive fruits and strengthens belief that in our countries people with diabetes will live adequately.
